Hearing Aid Maintenance
During the initial adjustment period, you will see us one to three times, depending on what adjustments will be needed to make your hearing aids customized to your needs. After that period is over, we recommend coming back every four to six months to have your hearing aids professionally cleaned; at which time, any adjustments you want made can be done as well.
These services are included with every hearing aid purchase. If you need service or a repair, we can handle it immediately for you. We don’t want you to go without the ability to hear well. Oftentimes, we have loaner hearing aids to help you until your hearing aid is repaired.
Hearing Aid Repairs
Sometimes your hearing aids will require simple repairs. These can range from changing the wax guards to replacing domes to making adjustments to the programming. Our hearing specialists can make these repairs in any of our offices, often in the same day.
If your hearing aids have suffered severe damage to the external components or they have been submerged in water, we can send the aids to the manufacturer for you to be repaired.
Hearing Aid Cleanings
To get the most out of your hearing aids, it’s vital to clean them on a daily basis. To clean your aids, simply wipe them down with a dry, soft cloth every time you remove them from your ears. This will prevent any earwax or dust from accumulating and causing them to sound distorted.
In addition, we encourage you to bring your devices in every four to six months so our hearing specialists can professionally deep clean them. Professional cleanings on your hearing aids will help the longevity of your devices so you can get the most out of your investment.
